We are still at the Guild Hall every Tuesday 
The Guildhall, Abbey Close, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 3JE - near Waitrose. This popular venue has a fantastic large sprung wooden floor, plenty of parking and great atmosphere. Taxi dancers are on hand to help complete beginners and provide a refresher workshop while the Intermediate class is taking place. Beginner Practice Session: 8-9pm - Intermediate Class: 9-9.45pm - Beginner Review Class: 9-9.45pm - Freestyle: 9.45-11pm.

Abingdon Open Day
Guildhall open day from 10:00 - 17:00 hours. Built on the site of St. John's Hospital , part of the Abbey. This building contains rooms of historic importance. The Roysse Room was originally the common room of the Hospital. In 1563 it was purchased by John Roysse to refound the Abbey School . The Council Chamber was refurbished in the 18th Century and contains important historical portraits. The Bear Room was the original meeting place of the Bear Club, a dining club going back to 1767.

Abingdon Open Day

The Merchant's House from
10:00 - 17:00 hours. A beautiful medieval town house with splendid 16th century wall paintings, a very fine window in the gallery, and beautifully tended walled garden - all carefully restored and cared for by the Oxford Preservation Trust.

Twickenham House
Tours start at 10:00 , 11:00 , 12:00 , 14:00 , 15:00 , 16:00 hours. A Grade II listed Mansion built for Joseph Tomkins in 1756. Country Life reported in 1929 'The decorative fashions of the time are epitomised in this building.' Since then it has been converted to Office accommodation in the 1970s, and is soon to become luxury apartments. This is a unique chance to view this interesting building.

Abingdon Open Day

St Ethelwold's House from
10:00 - 17:00 hours. St Ethelwold's House, run by a charitable Trust, is a beautiful building in the town centre dating back to the 14th century.  It has a lovely garden leading down to the River Thames.  The House functions as an Open Spiritual Centre, offering a haven of peace and tranquillity, and a range of opportunities for spiritual refreshment, reflection and growth. It also offers attractive day and residential accommodation for public use.
The Sanctuary upstairs will be open for quiet reflection. Coffee will be available in the morning and tea and cake in the afternoon.

Boundary Walk
Market Place from 11:30 hours. Walk of the 1556 Abingdon Borough Bounds. Announced by the Town Crier. Starts and ends at the Market Place. Distance about 3 miles, but you are never far from the centre.
